It all started with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and a belief that people needed a safe, joyful place to talk about relationships.
More than thirty years ago, Kathi Pepper began hosting home parties that blended education, humor, and heart – what she called “educationally entertaining conversations.” Those gatherings grew into a beloved boutique, a thriving community, and a lifelong mission: helping people learn how to connect, communicate, and stay curious about love at every stage of life. For Kathi, the “toys” were never the point – they were simply introductions to conversations about confidence, trust, and intimacy. Her true work has always been about helping people feel safe being themselves. Alongside her husband, Kathi has lived through the full spectrum of life’s tests – family loss, health crises, and reinvention – and has turned those experiences into lessons in resilience and grace. Today, Kathi continues to teach through her signature program, “Relationships Through the Ages,” where she explores how communication, compassion, and connection evolve as we do. 3 years ago today was the last day that Pepper's Parties Too was open. We cleaned everything out the next day with help from my employees and a few friends. We moved everything back to the original location in Ellisville where we've gone back to how we used to do things, old school style. We work by appointments (or call ahead shopping 601-477-2005) and I'm back doing home parties. While there was a lot of grief from this loss, it has put me in the position of recreating my original career, counseling. But this time it's not mental health counseling, it's couples coaching and counseling Couples Solutions by Kathi Pepper. In the last 30 years I've worked with hundreds of couples to make their relationship the best that it can be. I've done this for free while selling wellness products as my income. Now, I'm creating another safe space for you at Hall Health in downtown Hattiesburg in a clinical setting. 3 years ago today Pepper's Parties held its final party at our Hattiesburg location. I'm telling you, we had some parties over the years... crawfish boils, Pride parties and, of course, our Pepper's Parties! I sure miss those days and that store. James Pepper, our employees and I poured our hearts and souls into that store and all our events. Even today, people still ask where our Hattiesburg store is. When the building owners sold out, we were forced out by the new owners. We've come back to our original Pepper's in Ellisville. Yes, I'm back doing home parties, old school style and our store is OPEN. It's recommended that you call ahead since it's just the 2 of us now.
Part of me would like to just be sad, but the other part of me is really excited about the couples clinic I'm building. Working with couples and helping them have the best relationship possible has always been my primary focus and now I'm putting that into a coaching and clinical setting. UPDATE:
Due to the high level of interest, I've decided to hang on to a few of these in case you still want some at a very cheap price. If you've already spoke up, I'm holding these for you until we can get together. All you have to do is speak up and let me know what you want. I'm keeping these in my car so regardless of my location, they'll be available. Additionally, I have tights and fishnets at half price that are also the passenger princess in my car.
I have a plethora of pantyhose in lots of skin tones from ivory to jet black. Sizes are one size and queen size. Today they are only $2 each. After that, I'm donating them. I can do venmo or PayPal, card or cash. I'll be in Ellisville for about another hour then Hattiesburg until late this evening. Just clarifying that Pepper's Parties is still open and we're still doing Parties. Dr. Pepper is usually here during the weekday and I'm usually home after 5. We're both usually here on Saturdays and closed on Sundays. I bring the store phone with me so I'm able to take your calls unless I'm in a coaching session. For these reasons this is why we're ask that you call ahead to make sure someone is available.
